Common electrophoresis instrument problems and their solutions

Author:QINSUN Released in:2023-06 Click:153

Precautions for using the electrophoresis instrument:

1. After the electrophoresis instrument/electrophoresis tank is powered on and enters the working state , the human body is prohibited from touching the electrodes, electrophoresis objects and other potentially charged parts, and it is prohibited from taking them out of the electrophoresis tank. Put things on, if necessary, you must first turn off the power, so as not to get electrocuted. At the same time, it is necessary that the instrument has a good ground terminal to prevent leakage.

2. After the instrument is powered on, do not temporarily add or remove the lead wire plug to avoid short circuit. Although there is a fuse inside the instrument, a short circuit can still damage the instrument.

3. Since the resistance values of different media racks are different, theThe amount of current going through the electrophoresis is also different, and the swimming speed and time to reach the end point is also different, so the electrophoresis of different media carriers does not run on the same machine. electrophoresis at the same time.

4. When the total current does not exceed the rated current of the instrument (current range), multiple slots can be used together, but be careful not to overload, otherwise it will easily affect the duration of life of the instrument.

5. In some special cases, when it is necessary to check the electrophoresis input of the instrument, it is permissible to start the machine without load in the constant voltage state, but in the constant current state, the load must be connected before turning on the machine, otherwise the pointer of the voltmeter will jump greatly, which will easily cause unnecessary damage to the machine.

6. If any abnormal phenomena are found when using the electrophoresis instrument/electrophoresis tank, such as loud noise, abnormal discharge or smell, the power supply should be cut off immediately and repaired to avoid accidents.

Common problems and solutions of the electrophoresis instrument:

1. The output of the electrophoresis instrument does not reach the set value

Answer: The state of the electrophoresis instrument output value Follow \"Ohm\'s law\": voltage U=current I×(electrophoresis tank) resistance R, when resistance R is relatively constant, any parameter in U, I, P (power P=current I×voltage U) is constant, other parameters are also constant; as one parameter changes, the other parameters also change proportionally. If the output voltage U of the electrophoresis instrument cannot reach the preset value, first observewhether I or P has been constant, or has reached I or P specified by the electrophoresis instrument (JY electrophoresis instruments have clear indicator lights). If the limit value has not been reached, the output voltage can only be increased by increasing the I or P constant setting (up to the limit value if necessary). If the current I of the electrophoresis apparatus cannot reach the preset value, the voltage U or the power P can be adjusted. If the power P of the electrophoresis instrument cannot reach the preset value, the voltage U or the current I can be adjusted.

2. Computer-controlled electrophoresis instrument over-voltage alarm

(1) Check whether it is used without load. (2) If there is no buffer in the electrophoresis tank. (3) If the electrophoresis tank platinum wire is broken.

3. Overcurrent protection

(1) If there is a short circuit in the electric tanktropphoresis. (2) If the buffer is incorrectly selected.

4. Leakage protection

(1) If there is liquid splashing in the instrument or on the output interface. (2) If there is a lot of dust falling inside the instrument.
