Introduction to relevant test levels of vertical combustion tester:

Grades of plastic flame retardants gradually increase from HB, V-2, V-1 to V-0 : 

HB: The lowest flame retardant grade in the standard. It is necessary that for samples 3 to 13 mm thick, the burning rate is less than 40 mm per minute; for samples less than 3 mm thick, the burning rate must be less than 70 mm per minute; or it must be turned off before the 100mm mark.

V-2: After two 10-second combustion tests on the sample, the flamewent out in 60 seconds. Objects on fire may fall.

V-1: After two 10-second combustion tests on the sample, the flame was extinguished in 60 seconds. No burning object can fall.
