Experimental Speed and Stroke of Friction Resistance Tester

Author:QINSUN Released in:2023-08 Click:174

The friction resistance tester is a test equipment independently developed and produced by our company qisnun Precision Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. This is a cost-effective and comprehensive after-sales service. It is used for friction resistance testing and evaluation of interior wall coverings, floor tiles, shower rooms and furniture surfaces. Brush, sponge, scouring pad, sandpaper or other methods to test the friction resistance of the painted surface.

Main parameters:

1. Scrubbing speed: 6-60 exchanges/min;

2. Back and forth time: no more than 100,000;

3. Test arm load: 4 kg (8.8 lb);

4. Line length: 28cm.

Testing Method:

Testing Method A

Thoroughly mix paint from test to remove any air bubbles and particles. Three coats should be pulled for each painting. The same 0.18mm gap film coating pattern was used to scrape paint off a black plastic panel. Application time is approximately 3-4 seconds from end to end to avoid air bubbles or voids forming in the film. Under the conditions of 23±2°C and 50±5% relative humidity, place it horizontally in the air to dry for 7 days.

Dip the brush in water. Place the sample plate in the holding tray of the scrub tester. Make sure the copper strip spacer is smooth and burr-free and is positioned perpendicular to the brush path. Lightly wipe the test sample panel and place it on the copper bar, painted side up. Make sure there are no flaws in the sample film above the copper part and that the test area is level. Place the positioning frame in the dish and tighten.

Before starting the test, make sure the brushes have been preconditioned for 400 cycles. Remove the brush and shake off the excess water. Take out about 10 g of the evenly stirred wash medium and spread it evenly over the sample. Place the brush at one end of the path. Wet the panel with 5 ml of water in the passage of the brush.

Start the test. After 400 cycles, if no failure, remove brush (do not rinse), add another 10g of agitated scrubbing compound and add 5ml of water to brush path and continue scrubbing .

When a thin solid line is rubbed across the 12.7 mm wide copper strip, record the number of cycles. If necessary, stop the machine and wipe the pad area to determine if the end point has been reached.

Test two layers. If the two results differ by more than 30% from the average, test a third coat. That of the three results with too large a gaprtant is discarded and the remaining results are averaged.

Test Method B

Thoroughly mix the test and reference paints to remove all air bubbles and particles. Following the procedure described above, pull two layers side by side. Three sets of sample panels were prepared for each test paint (including the reference paint). The coating should be removed at the same time as possible, and the coating part should be in the middle of the sample. In the bidDry under standard conditions for 7 days.

Place the sample plate and 2 copper strips in a manner similar to method A, and secure them.
