The atomization value tester is used to test the atomization degree of automobile interior materials.

\"Frost\" is a substance formed by the volatile substances contained in automobile interior materials. which evaporate and condense on the windshield of the automobile. This type of fog-like precipitation not only affects the visibility of drivers and passengers, but is also difficult to eliminate.

In the 1970s, some major European automobile manufacturers began to study the fogging characteristics of automobile interiors.

In the early 1980s, the German Automotive Standards Drafting Committee and the Composite Materials Standards Drafting Committee formed a working group on \"volatilization in fogging” of materials to systematically study the misting volatilization of automotive interior materials. In Septemberre 1992, the DIN75201-1992 standard “Determination of the fog condensation performance of road vehicle windshields” was published.

Later, the American Society of Motor Vehicles Engineers and the International Organization for Standardization promulgated SAEJ1756-1994 \"Test for determining the fogging characteristics of interior materials automotive\" based on standard DIN75201-1992. Standard and standard ISO6452-2007 “Determination of atomization characteristics of rubber or plastic coated fabrics for automobile interior decoration materials”.

Based on the above three standards, the world\'s major automobile manufacturers have promulgated their own corporate standards.

In 2005, our country formulated the Chinese light industry standard QB/T2728-2005 \"Determination of atomization performance of physical and mechanical testing of leather\", which is used for leather. At the timeCurrently, our country There are no standard specifications for textile atomization testing.

Overview of test methods

From the atomization test standards promulgated by various countries, there are three types Main Among the atomization testing methods, namely gravimetric method, reflection method (brilliance method) and mist method, the most commonly used is the gravimetric method.

1) Gravimetric method

Gravimetric method: The nebulization support G is an aluminum foil. After the misting cup is placed in the constant temperature device for the specified time, remove the aluminum foil and keep it in the specified environment for a period of time before weighing it. The difference in weight of the aluminum foil before and after atomization corresponds to the atomization value Fm of the sample. The main standards thatuse the gravimetric method are: DIN75201, SAEJ1756, ISO6452, PV3015, D451727, TSM0503G.

2) Reflection method

As shown in Figure 1, the fogging support G is a sheet of glass . After placing the misting cup in the constant temperature device for the specified time, remove the piece of glass and keep it in the specified environment for a period of time. Calculate the ratio of the gloss before and after atomization at 4 points of the glass sheet, and the average is the atomization value Fi of the sample. The main standards using the reflection method are: DIN75201, SAEJ1756, ISO6452, BSAU168, D451727, GM9305P, TSM0503G, etc.

3) Haze Method

The Haze method is not commonly used at present. It measures the incident light flux of the glass sheet. T1, the total quantity of transmitted light T2, the scattered light from the device T3, the quantityity of light scattered by the device and the T4 test piece, then calculate the degree of atomization of the piece of glass. The standards for using the Haze method are: NESM0161, TSM0503G.

Test method

Test of the degree of gravimetric atomization

Sampling (diameter 80 mm) → balance in the dryer (room temperature, 4h) → Weigh the aluminum foil → Place the misting cup containing the sample in the atomizer and start the tests (heat to T°C, cool to 21°C, 16h)→Remove the aluminum foil and put it in a desiccator to equilibrate for 4 hours→Weigh the aluminum foil→Calculate the degree of bue

Test of degree of fogging by reflection method

Sampling (diameter 80 mm) → equilibrium in the dryer ( room temperature, 4h) → Determine the gloss value of the glass plate → Place the misting cup containing the sample into the atomizer and start the test (T℃, th) → Take out the glass plate into the environment specified [no wind, no sun, temperature (23 ± 2) ℃, relative humidity (50 ± 6)%RH] Equilibrate for 1h → measure the gloss value of the glass plate → calculate the degree of fogging
